  • "Being a Junior Marketing Executive in OrangeIT was the finest decision I made to begin my career life under OREL Corporation. With more qualifications which the position required, it was not about the title but the company I concerned. Research & Development department in Orange Electric kept the trust on me to be their project manager to start their innovation center in Trace City. Projects and deadlines made the life hard yet I managed to fulfill the responsibilities in a way best with a set of mechanical & electronic engineers.   • "In 2011 I joined Orange Electric as an internship trainee in Research & Development Department and I was lucky enough to be on board as a management trainee in R&D after graduating with a first class degree in mechatronics. In January 2014 I got promoted as the assistant manager of R&D and in March 2014 I was promoted as the General Manger Innovation Centre. Orange being the largest electrical manufacturer in Sri Lanka I’m really honored to drive 5 key departments in this prestigious organization namely Research and Development, Quality assurance, Toolroom, Rapid quality improvement team (RQIT) and Merlin (a sales SBU). Since then to date 2.5 years I'm working as the General Manager Innovation. I'm really passionate about my scope of work and I really love what I'm doing. For my growth at Orange Electric my age, previous work experience were never a scale and Orange Electric is a lovely place where the talent and hard work get recognized always.
